Jacinto Jardim holds a BA and a Master’s degree in Education from the Salesian Pontifical University (Rome) and a Ph.D. from the same scientific area by the University of Aveiro. He also has a degree from the Theology at the Catholic University, and he is specialized on group dynamics at the Salesian Pontifical University (Rome). He holds a post-doctorate on “Education for Entrepreneurship” at the Portuguese Catholic University, University of Aveiro, and at the University of Lisbon. He taught at various institutions of Higher Education, mainly at the Portuguese Catholic University, the Portuguese Institute of Marketing Management, and at the Jean Piaget Institute. He is a researcher at the Centre of Studies of Management and Economics at the Portuguese Catholic University (Porto), scientific coordinator of the Research Office of Entrepreneurship and Creativity (GEEC) of the European Institute of Cultural Sciences Padre Manuel Antunes, and coordinator of the Research Office of Entrepreneurship and Creativity of the Centre for Lusophone and European Literatures and Cultures, Faculty of Letters, University of Lisbon (CLEPUL). He published several books on the areas of personal, social and professional skills, groups dynamics and academic success: Competências Pessoais e Sociais – Guia prático para a Mudança Positiva [Personal and Social Skills – practical guide to positive change] (2006); Programa de Desenvolvimento de Competências Pessoais e Sociais – Estudo para a Promoção do Sucesso Académico [Program of Development of Personal and Social Skills: Study on the Promotion of Academic Success] (2010). Together with Professor José Eduardo Franco, he co-organized the book Portugal Empreendedor: Trinta Figuras Empreendedoras da Cultura Portuguesa – Relevância dos Modelos para a Promoção do Empreendedorismo [Entrepreneurial Portugal: Thirty Entrepreneurial Figures in the Portuguese Culture – the relevance of models in the promotion of entrepreneurship] (INCM 2013).
